Brita Granström
Brita Granström is a painter, illustrator and ceramicist with her Nordic roots self-evident in work made on location; both indoors and outdoors, in all weathers. Granström is known for her depictions of delicious interior views and the wild all-weather landscapes near her seaside home. Many of her paintings capture an essence of her daily family life and the unique Northumbrian weather and light – but nevertheless also have a haunting quality that touch on something beyond the surface narrative. She has appeared on television and radio and her work is in private and public collections around the world.
