Mick Manning
Mick Manning grew up in Haworth, Yorkshire and graduated from the Royal College of Art where his teachers included Sheila Robinson, Quentin Blake and John Norris Wood. Since 1998 Mick has been concentrating on his books, paintings and unique prints. He is well known for his bold and characterful pochoir stencil prints where each image is individually made by the artist’s hand using stipple application and hand-cut stencils; a technique that dates back to the Stone Age. Mick describes each print as ‘slightly and gloriously different’, hence the variable editions.
